Mr Sharma treated me for large hernias on either side of my abdomen. The procedure was keyhole under general anaesthetic and I was nervous about recovery given the extent of the injury. When I came to after the surgery I was given details of how to take care and provided with strong pain meds if needed. I assumed at first that the anaesthetic was still having an effect, but as time passed I was amazed by how I felt. I took 1 painkiller tablet once on the first night. After that I felt discomfort, but no real pain at all. Scarring is minimal. The hardest thing is to keep to the instructions to take it easy for a few weeks! The after care visit was helpful and answered my questions. Mr Sharma is clearly a very skilled and experienced surgeon whom I can recommend very highly for this procedure.

With my complex medical history, involving a stoma reversal and two big hernias to be repaired, the care that I received and the support he provided to my family was fantastic. Every time he visited me, which was every day, he always took time to ring my family. When I developed a gall bladder infection which ultimately required removal, without hesitation we requested Mr Sharma to carry out the surgery. Now due to his clinical excellence, I am now 100% better which has then helped me to purse new opportunities at work which I was not able to do, due to pending surgeries and health issues.

I was very happy with the overall service, both from Mr Sharma and all the staff at the Alex including the nurses, porters, receptionists etc. It was all very efficient. The consultation and discussion with Mr Sharma were brief and to the point but I feltI could ask as many questions as needed. The pre- and post-op meetings went like clockwork. The surgery went very well and I did not experience any of the bruising that other people who have had similar ops have told me about. Indeed, my recovery went very well, and two weeks later I was back to light exercise. The Alex was very convenient for me but parking, the room, the food etc was all very good. Would definitely recommend.

At my initial consultation with Mr Sharma he immediately listened to my concerns and symptoms and took them seriously. For months previously I was going around in circles but I knew this was not normal for me due to my change in bowel habits. He promptly scheduled a colonoscopy for me which he performed and he found and removed a large polyp, which given more time could have become more serious. I will always be grateful to Mr Sharma for acting on my concerns. I am now under his care for surveillance.
